Come early to Chelsea's Chocolate Extravaganza on February 8, 2014 for coffee with Democratic State Senate Candidate Shari Pollesch at Zou Zou's Cafe and Coffee Bar at 101 Main Street, Chelsea between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Pollesch is running for the 22nd Senate seat, which now includes western Washtenaw County, including the city of Chelsea.
"Some voters in western Washtenaw may not be aware that as a result of re-districting following the 2010 census, they are no longer in State Senator Rebekah Warren's district," Pollesch said.
I'm not a scientist, but my common sense tells me that if you drill a hole in the earth 10,000 feet deep and force water, sand and undisclosed chemicals into that hole, there is going to be an impact. We need science to answer the question as to whether that impact is going to be positive or negative, and if it is negative, whether the negative impact outweighs other economic benefits. My common sense also tells me that answering these questions after we are facing an environmental crisis will not be very helpful.
